Handsets may become unable to make and recieve calls for many reasons. The most common reasons are listed below.

Check Your Balance
One thing to check is if you are out of minutes. You can check your balance by calling 611 on your Ready Mobile PCS handset. (free call) You may also check your balance by logging into your Ready Mobile PCS Selfcare Account.

Just Added Minutes to Account
If you just added minutes to your account, we ask that you wait 15 minutes (minimum) to 4 hours (maximum) before contacting customer service. Network delays may slow the process that re-enables your account.

Have Not Used Phone For More Than 120 Days
Please contact customer service by calling 1-800-516-0414 from a land line.

Is Your Phone Text Capable?
Some phones may not be 2-way text capable.

Have You Loaded an Unlimited Plan on Your Phone?
Our unlimited products have limitations on the amount of Text Messages that you can send. If you go over that limit we will disable the text message option for your device. A SMS Text Message booster reload is available for $4.99 for 200 text messages, and can be purchased online.

If your phone has not had service for more than 120 days your phone may have been disconnected. Disconnected phones forfeit their phone numbers. To get your phone to have service again, please call customer service.

You can change your phone number any time by calling customer service.

You can check your account balance by checking selfcare.readymobile.com or by dialing 319-730-6666.

If your voice mail button does not correctly connect you to your voice mail you can reach your voice mail by dialing your Ready Mobile PCS phone number.

Device not found error
Some devices, when used on Windows 7, will get recognized as an extra storage device. If you connection manager is stating that No Device detected for more than 5 minutes, then please follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

1. Click on the Start Button
2. Click on "Computer"
3. A new drive should be listed in the window that pops up
4. Right click on the extra drive listed and select "Eject" from the popup menu
5. The computer will then continue along the process of recognizing the USB device

Novatel Cards (U720, U727)
The most common solution for the 678 error is to run back through the activation steps in Mobilink Lite. To do this, locate the Mobilink Lite icon in your sytem tray (usually bottom right hand corner of your screen). Right click on the Mobilink Lite icon in the system tray and then click on Activation from the menu that pops up. Follow the dialog window that opens up. If your card fails in the activation step or still fails to connect after the activation steps, please contact customer service.

Sierra Cards (595U, C597)
Sierra cards receiving the 678 error require using Sierra Wireless' connection manager to correct the problem. The software should have been provided with your USB Device. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Click on the Windows Start Menu
2. Click on Programs
3. Click on Sierra Wireless
4. Click on Watcher
5. Once the application loads, click on the Menu button. (Note: you can hover over the buttons for a second to find out what the buttons are called)
6. Then click on Data Provisioning or Update Data Profile
7. Close the Sierra Watcher application and relaunch ReadyBroadband
